Bee Stings or Insect Bites

Possible Symptoms:

minor and localized

• pain
• redness
• swelling

major or severe (anaphylaxis)

• shortness of breath
• swelling of the mouth, tongue, or throat
• light-headedness or dizziness
• severe rash over large areas

Most insect bites and stings cause reactions at the site of the bite or sting. The discomfort of these bites is usually easy to relieve and treat at home. The use of cold compresses and antihistamines will help significantly.
