Pink Eye - Creamy Discharge- Home Suggestions

1. Try a non-prescription antibiotic drop such as Polysporin. Place 2 drops in the pink eye four times daily. Continue this treatment for 7 days. If the eye is not improving after 3 days you should see your nurse/doctor.

2. Clean the eye with a warm cloth as necessary.

3. Warm or cool cloths put on the eye for 20 minutes at a time may soothe the discomfort, pressure and swelling. Use whatever seems to work the best for you.

4. Avoid smoke and other things which bother your eyes. 5 Avoid wearing contact lenses until your eye has been normal for 2-3 days.

After attempting these treatments, begin this tool again every 6-8 hours. If you have not improved in 48-72 hours, go to the nearest health centre / hospital.
